Before I discuss this campaign, I should probably put a warning here for any of my players who may end up reading this blog. This article includes massive spoilers as to my ongoing campaigns. So if you want to enjoy the twist and turns of the game, please stop reading now.

Ok.. now that I’ve got that out the way, I’ll discuss the key elements of the campaign, and the challenges I’m encountering on this, the most elaborate campaign I’ve ever attempted.

The Voyages of Scylax Grimm

Writing

I’m adding this blog entry as a sort of declaration of intent, to try to reinforce my resolve to actually follow through and complete the task I’m setting for myself.

I’ve been working away on various bits and pieces on the zRPG Wiki, adding stuff here and there in an effort to create a detailed fictional fantasy world. I’ve been trying to pop on there whenever I’ve got some spare time, pressing the “Random Page” link and not letting myself leave the page until I’ve expanded the randomly selected article in some meaningful way. It seems to be working well enough, but I feel I need to take some extra steps to flesh out the world.

Liberty Of The Seas Cruise Ship

Was playing D&D with some friends last night, they are a fairly new group to me, but during previous sessions I had related a few tales from my previous roleplaying groups, one of the things i’ve mentioned to them, was that last Halloween I ran a special one-night horror game, which turned out to be hugely fun. There seemed to be some interest in running a similar game for them this Halloween, and I thought it could be fun, so I agreed. Not much else was said during the session, mostly so we could get on with the D&D game.
